8th Workshop on New Trends in Computational Intelligence and Applications
CIAPP 2026

Program

Call for Papers

November 11, 2026. As part of IEEE Mexican International Conference on Computer Science, Encuentro Nacional de Computación, ENC 2026 (IEEE ENC 2026®)

Computational Intelligence (CI) paradigms have become a critical factor in the resurgence of Artificial Intelligence which is now part of daily life. Therefore, basic and applied CI research have substantially grown, and more spaces for discussion on these topics are required.

This workshop aims to put together researchers, practitioners, students, and those interested in presenting novel findings and applications related to computational intelligence techniques. The workshop also looks to be a means to establish possible collaborations among the attendants.

Interested authors are invited to submit original papers, including novel CI research and findings. The topics include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Machine Learning
  • Data Mining
  • Statistical Learning
  • Automatic Image Processing
  • Intelligent Agents / Multi Agent Systems
  • Evolutionary Computing
  • Swarm Intelligence
  • Combinatorial and Numerical Optimization
  • Parallel and Distributed Computing in Computational Intelligence

  • Be submitted in PDF format.
  • Have a length of 4 to 6 pages.
  • Follow the official IEEE conference templates.
  • Be submitted to one of the two conference tracks: Computer Science or Engineering, according to the primary focus of the contribution.
  • Be uploaded through the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).

The official templates are available in Word for one author, two authors, and three or more authors. A LaTeX/Overleaf template is also available through IEEE.

All papers must be submitted through the official CMT platform: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/IEEEENC2026

Publication

Accepted papers will be included for oral presentation at the workshop and included in the proceedings.

IEEE ENC 2026® is technically sponsored by IEEE. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, subject to compliance with IEEE’s quality, formatting, registration, and presentation requirements.

At least one author of each accepted paper must complete the registration and payment process by the established deadline. The final camera-ready version must address the reviewers’ comments and comply with the IEEE publication guidelines.

The conference proceedings will use the following identifiers:
ISBN: 979-8-3195-2541-3
